A fresh new look for a waterfront restaurant on Trinity Inlet, celebrating modern Italian dining and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The refurbishment introduces a contemporary European aesthetic that balances comfort, functionality and a clear nod to classic Italian dining.
The refurbishment focused on creating a distinctive identity for Ollie’s, centred on modern Italian cuisine while maintaining a welcoming, family-friendly dining experience. Care was taken to preserve the integrity of the existing design and construction, while introducing contemporary elements that elevate the space.
Selecting the feature tiles was a pivotal decision, shaping Ollie’s character and defining it as a modern, luxurious and inviting restaurant. Classic design selections were incorporated alongside contemporary finishes, ensuring the space feels timeless rather than trend-driven.
Located on the exclusive waterfront dining precinct in Cairns City, the 120-seat restaurant delivers a cohesive contemporary European aesthetic that balances style, comfort and functionality. Originally opened in 2019, the interior refurbishment was completed in 2025, resulting in a refreshed and confident identity for Ollie’s Italian.
