BUILDING DESIGN

The original layout felt awkward and cramped, with angled walls and unnecessary hallways interrupting movement throughout the home. The building design work focused on simplifying circulation and opening up key areas to create clearer connections between the kitchen, living and outdoor spaces. Selected walls were removed to establish a more intuitive flow and improve the sense of openness. The master suite was reconfigured to provide greater privacy and create a quieter retreat separate from the main living zone. A self-contained guest area with its own entry was added to accommodate visiting family or short-stay accommodation.

INTERIOR DESIGN

The interior design brief emphasised minimalism, elegance and the ability for the clients to add personal touches over time. The kitchen and wet bar were redesigned to connect directly to the outdoor entertaining area through two large stacker doors, establishing a stronger indoor–outdoor relationship. Oak cabinetry, engineered stone benchtops, a butler’s pantry and a splashback window overlooking the orchard introduce warmth and natural light. Considered tile selections and bespoke lighting add subtle detail without overwhelming the simplicity of the palette.

The master suite was updated with a walk-in robe, a refined en-suite and views to the pool, completing a calm and cohesive experience that aligns with the overall design direction.

The home has been reimagined to follow the natural rhythms of its occupants.
